Biography
Dr. Seanan Kelly (Ed.D.) is an Assistant Professor of Organizational Leadership in the College of Doctoral Studies at Grand Canyon University (appointed November 2013–present). His work centers on doctoral education, online teaching and learning, faculty presence, and research skill development, with recent leadership focused on ethical and responsible applications of AI/LLMs in higher education. Dr. Kelly is also a founding (and standing) member of Grand Canyon University’s AI Steering Committee (October 2023–present), contributing to the design and implementation of an AI Skills Lab supporting doctoral learners and faculty. Dr. Kelly also serves on the Online Full-Time Faculty Mentor and Training Committee (September 2024–present), supporting cross-disciplinary faculty development and collaboration. He is a lead subject matter/content expert for multiple doctoral research and leadership courses (including RES 815, RES 820, LDR 800, and LDR 802) and has contributed to peer-reviewed and practitioner-facing publications and book chapters on online instruction and doctoral research practice.
